About CBM
Children's Bible Ministry is a
national, Bible-based ministry established in 1935. CBM's goals are
evangelism, discipleship and cooperating with local churches for
follow-up. The work of CBM is supported by the gifts of churches and
individuals.
The state office is headquartered in Elkridge, Md. We count it a privilege
to be available to help you and your church with:

Why
should I volunteer for CBM of Maryland?
CBM of Maryland provides exciting opportunities
to serve the lord. You will experience hands-on missions. You
will see how God can use your life and home as you commit them to Him.
CBM of Maryland coordinates scores of Christians who give
of their free time to help with the ministry. The various ministry
locations of CBM have found these volunteers indispensable in their work
to serve as Bible teachers, bus drivers, graders for correspondence
courses, counselors at their camps and rallies, secretaries to handle
correspondence and other important activities.

CBM offers many different opportunities for becoming involved in its
ministry. Please take a minute to read through the various ministry
opportunities and ask God how you could be used by Him in an area of CBM
ministry. Position available for the
camp include:
Senior Counselors, Buddy Counselor, Junior Counselors, Counselors in
Training, Lifeguards, Nursing Assistant, Cooks, Assistant Cooks, Craft
Directors, Sport Directors.
CBM workers are involved in teaching the Word of God, recruiting training
volunteers, managing and developing financial structures, and representing
the ministry to local churches, educational administrators and school
boards. As a result, they are ministering to children, teenagers, and
parents. They also are involved in the spiritual development of local
believers who benefit from the training and service opportunities offered
them through CBM's ministry.
Help! - Bookkeeper Needed
Children's Bible Ministry of MD needs a volunteer bookkeeper with
experience in QuickBooks and fund accounting and access to the Internet.
Our present bookkeeper has resigned due to family responsibilities.
Financial
As stated in the "About Us" section, CBM is a work of faith. The ministry
is not funded by any foundation or well endowed resource. CBM staff must
secure financial and prayer support through a deputation process. In
addition the various ministries, programs, camps and other aspects of the
ministry are dependent upon the gifts of Christians who see the ministry
of CBM as an investment in the Lord's work. From time to time, CBM makes
known special projects that interested Christians can give to.
Prayer
CBM has come to long value the prayers of dedicated Christians in the
furtherance of its ministry. Missionaries, volunteers and finances are
only a small part of what truly makes CBM effective. Prayers are what
provide power to the ministry.
