Children's Bible Ministry is a
national, Bible-based ministry established in 1935. CBM's goals are
evangelism, discipleship and cooperating with local churches for
follow-up. |
H ow has the recent economic crunch effected your finances? Most would answer, “A great deal.” I am thrilled that our God has allowed CBM to reach 4,221 and 500 adults with His Word this past year. But, as the ministry has grown, expenses have also increased. We print teaching materials, buy postage, copy paper, envelopes and other office supplies. Office rent, BGE, and mileage must be paid. Bibles, tracts and lesson materials must be purchased. These are paid for from the “General Fund.” Some supporters have stopped giving because of their financial situations. I can sure understand. However, there are still donors who are giving sacrificially to the General Fund. One dear retired lady not only gives monthly but recently sent an extra offering. She wrote, “I received a gift that I was not expecting and wanted to share some of it with CBM.” One friend said, “I was not aware that there was a need for the General Fund. I will begin giving next month.” A teen passed on some money that had been given to him. The board members have also increased their giving. We have always tried to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us but spending has been cut to the bone. These gifts are helping but since our income is not keeping up with our ministry needs, I am asking you to prayerfully consider helping, too. We, at CBM, are asking God to use those whom He has blessed financially to help cover the $11,000.00 General Fund deficit. Whether you are able to give or not, pray for the General Fund. Thank you and God bless you for partnering with CBM as we reach precious children for the King of Kings, our Lord Jesus Christ. Call Carolyn King at 410-796-7990 to let her know how you can help.
Praise the Lord! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Thank you for praying and for giving. The prayer of the righteous has availed much. Praise God with me for a great start for our fall Character Building Clubs. Bentalou and Liberty Elementary started with 86 children. Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Christian School , our newest club. We anticipate a great year of reaching Baltimore 's children with God's Word. Lawrence Jennings, our local committee chairman, and I met with Dr. Alonso, the CEO for Baltimore City Public Schools. The meeting went well. Please pray for God to give CBM favor when Dr. Alonso presents released time to the school board. EVERYONE please attend our Annual Prayer Breakfast at New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church , 3300 Elmora Ave. Baltimore , MD 21213 . Time is 9 AM. All are welcome, however, please RSVP so that we have plenty delicious country style breakfast for your enjoyment. Denise Morgan, Missionary Director for CBM in Baltimore City. 443-717-4007 To God be the Glory! R uth Adams, our new missionary candidate, has been busy sharing her burden for reaching Carroll County 's children for Christ. We are grateful to those who have already given toward getting her on the field. Her total project fund, including salary, health and life insurance, retirement, FICA and conference cost would be approximately $3,800.00 per month. Teachers and helpers are still needed for our after-school Character Building Clubs. Please volunteer for at least one afternoon a week. Please send all donations to 6394 Forrest Ave. , Elkridge , MD 21075 . Clearly mark your donation for “Carroll County CBM ” or, for Ruth Adam's support, “Project A”.

Our goal is to 1)
share the gospel clearly so that any child who is ready to receive the
Lord Jesus will have that opportunity, 2) challenge Christian children to
live for and serve the Lord Jesus, and 3) provide the greatest camp week

If you are ready for a life-changing summer with eternal rewards, consider serving God as a Summer Missionary Intern with CBM. Two weeks of training, five to seven weeks of paid ministry and the blessing of teaching God’s Word to children are waiting for a born-again Christian, ages thirteen to adult. Volunteer for one week of camp or for one or two days at the Children’s Chapel. Boy's Week for Staff—July 12-18 Girl’s Week for Staff—July 19-25 Carroll Co. Fair—July 26-August 1 Howard County Fair—August 2-9 Contact Carolyn King (410) 796-7990 for more information or to request an application.
Reach children for Christ in your neighborhood. Only one hour a day, for five weekdays, for one week. Inviting the children and preparing a simple refreshment is your only other time involvement. A trained missionary team does the teaching. Summer Bible Clubs are being scheduled beginning June 30 through and August 11. (No July 4th.) Please call Denise Morgan, (443) 717-4007, for Baltimore City, or Barbara Carter, (410) 795-6010, for Carroll Co. or Carolyn King(410) 796-7990, for other areas in the state to reserve your team of teachers. If your church would like to commit to four homes for the same week, contact Carolyn. CBM will send a team of missionaries to do the teaching. Your church, as well as each hostess, will receive a copy of the enrollment for follow up. This is an excellent way to not only reach children with the Gospel, but to reach their families as well.
Praise the Lord for $1,905.00 in the Property Fund. God bless you for giving to our future camp. As we have priced land, it is clear that only a miracle from our Heavenly Father will enable us to obtain a camp for the children. God has provided for both CBM of PA and VA by prompting donations of land and buildings. Please pray that if it is His will for CBM of MD that someone will offer to give property to CBM. If God leads you to give toward our future camp, please mark your gift, “Property Fund.” (Gifts marked “Camp Fund” are used for camp scholarships.) All gifts are tax-deductible. Thanks so much!

Full time missionaries are needed immediately for Baltimore, Carroll, and Howard Counties. Perhaps you have sensed God’s call on your life for full time missions but haven’t yet made the move to get started. Maybe you have served in missions in the past and feel God’s urging to begin again. Or, you are a volunteer who would like to devote yourself to reaching children for Christ full time. Children’s work is the most fruitful ministry of all. At least 85% of all those who come to faith in Christ do so by age fourteen. If you are a born again Christian that is in agreement with CBM’s statement of faith and if you have a burden for children, this may be your opportunity. CBM missionaries teach children in Bible clubs and camp. They recruit and train volunteer adults and teens to serve God among the children. CBM missionaries serve either in the area where they live or where they have a burden. If you do not live in one of the areas mentioned but have a burden for that area, call and see if a ministry is planned for your area. A salary is paid. Support is raised by deputation. Click here to visit our statement of faith. Christian men, women and teens, age 16 and up are still needed for camp. Counselors, lifeguards, sports directors and cooks all serve together to give the boys and girls the time of their life. Call 410-796-7990 for an application. Summer may seem a long way away but if you are considering serving as a Missionary Intern, it is just around the corner.

MD 21075 Telephone: (410) 796-7990 CBM of Maryland is Looking for a Camp Property! What does summertime, fun and games, splashing in a pool and chapel services remind you of? That’s right! Camp. We have been grateful for the privilege of taking our children to Mt. View Bible Camp each summer for the past twenty-six years. However, due to Maryland state government regulations, we are now limited to no more that five days and four nights of children’s camping in a calendar year. When God gives us a camp property we can be listed as a “youth camp” which will come under different regulations. The children will be able to enjoy a week of camp. We will also offer day camp to parents who want their children enrolled for the entire summer. Think of the many children who will be exposed to the Gospel! Think of the discipleship opportunities! CBM will be able to use the property for adult and teen retreats, as well as, have some of our offices located there. The CBM of MD board has enthusiastically approved the motion that we actively seek such a property. We will need a minimum of fifty acres but would like seventy-five or eighty. This will allow for expansion and a noise buffer for our neighbors. Our goal is to have our own camp by January of 2011. The CBM board has also asked my to challenge you to look for ways that you can help. We may need to purchase property but God may lay it on someone’s heart to donate such a property. Even if that is God’s plan, we will need finances for buildings and developing the camp. What creative way can
you help meet our goal of a camp by January 2011? Will you give
generously to the property fund? Offer a skill that can be used once the
property is a reality? Come on staff as a fulltime camp missionary?
